If they're taking up too much room, turn off hibernation when you don't need it and use plenty of RAM to skip the pagefile.

I have disabled it for years and never had an issue. However there is no guarantee that it won't that's just been my exp.

Maybe the system restore process is behaving strangely. The pagefile and hibernation files shouldn’t be significantly bigger than the RAM you’ve installed.
