I shared my recent discussion about swapping my PS5 for a PC in another thread. A friend suggested I trade my console for a PC and some money instead. You can find the specs attached. How would it perform at 1080p and 1440p? Looking forward to your feedback!
How much money do you have in mind? This setup is significantly improved. Expect roughly $500 to $550 if you assemble it yourself. However, before committing, clarify the case type and the Evga 600W PSU model you're considering. Evga offers a wide range of options, so knowing the exact unit helps. Airflow is crucial—make sure it meets your needs. Aiming for 1080p at 60fps is definitely achievable, but pushing to 100+ will require major tweaks. A 6500X SSD adds some performance but remains on the lower end of what you can realistically expect.
Not sure it's such a great deal 3600x maybe $140 (you can get 5600 new for 150$, and 5600x for $190) motherboard maybe 190$ new but you can get decent b550 motherboards for 120-130$ cooler maybe 40-50$ (but 5600x comes with ok stock cooler) ram around 50-60$ power supply around 50-60$ wd green drive maybe 40-50$ the video card, i don't know , 180-200$ that leaves just the case which could be 40-80$ it would be better than a ps5, as you can play way more games, but it seriously needs a SSD and the video card is for basically 1080p 60 fps gaming. It could do 1440p but at low-medium quality settings.
