These clips don't play sound with the Steel Series Sonar.

i just got a brand new headset from steelseries the Arctis 7+(plus) (pc edition) and once i turned on Sonar theres no audio in the clips i make through shadowplay

Verify the audio channel matches the correct one; it defaults to the primary device unless otherwise set.

Did you check the shadowplay options? It lets you pick your preferred audio channel. You can also turn off all but the active channel, ensuring it’s set as the default sound device.

These configurations helped me with my Arctis 7. Windows sound settings: default output, SteelSeries Arctis 7 game; input settings: default output, SteelSeries Arctis 7 chat on Discord; GeForce Experience audio: microphone set to SteelSeries Arctis 7 chat. Could be useful!
