It's possible, though I'm not very skilled at matching cards to CPUs. The GPU you have looks quite capable. I suspect there might be a software issue rather than a hardware problem. I was wondering if you could try using a 4K monitor and observe how your system performs. This might give more insight, but it could also complicate the situation further.
In 3DMark you can display "similar systems" directly, which should cover all your queries. (Sorry, I didn’t link it otherwise I could provide more details.)
Other configurations typically reach around $10k on 3DMark. Check out this page: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/83409970
That implies your rig is performing a bit below its potential... Keep in mind that top players will push their systems hard, so average scores matter too. I haven’t reviewed your stats yet, but I’ll check soon. Could be interesting to see.
ps: you can try firestrike too—it adds a bit more weight and might give us deeper insights. EDIT: I’m proceeding to confirm your setup is generally fine, though it might be a bit under the best. 1000 points likely sound higher than they actually are… possibly due to cooling issues, some questionable third-party tools (like RGB control software), or an overclocked configuration. There’s also #100 with comparable specs, but it’s heavily overclocked—maybe even reaching ln2 frequencies on the CPU/GPU. I’ll keep monitoring, but so far your system seems normal… maybe others can point out something?
DDU graphics updates, reinstalling graphics and chipset drivers. Your CPU speed under heavy synthetic stress should reach approximately 4.1-4.2ghz across all cores, with a bit more in lightly threaded tasks such as games. Your 3900x is running at 1.3v...are you forcing it to overclock for every core? Doing so may lead to poorer gaming performance compared to letting it self-adjust.
The TS benchmark seems to have a reasonable frequency distribution. The GPU performance appears to be within typical ranges, though it might be slightly constrained.
I think I’ll probably just reinstall Windows next week. If synthetic load is AIDA, it’s around 90°C at about 4 GHz. The undervolt was at 1.5 before, and I’ve set the CPU core voltage to 1.3 now. It didn’t make any difference.
