She might enjoy puzzle titles designed to gently challenge her mind without overwhelming it. Look for games with moderate difficulty and relaxing mechanics. Steam offers several options like "Portal," "The Witness," or "Stardew Valley" that balance engagement with cognitive benefits.

I don't understand why a puzzle game wouldn't be useful, but it might be worth discussing with one of her specialists to see if it could help or even if it's a good move, given my knowledge of brain and cognitive functions. If they approve, a couple I've played and liked could be a solid option. Of course, the Portal series is a good choice, but you should also look into some mods like Portal Reloaded and Portal Revolutions—they add more depth but are tougher. Another favorite was Superliminal, which offers an engaging story and satisfying puzzles. Hue is more of a platformer but includes many puzzle aspects and delivers a great experience. I'm sure there are many other excellent choices, just the ones that come to mind right now. Wishing her strength during her health challenges—she'll need it.

She went through intensive training to regain her driving skills and participated in rehabilitation programs. One puzzle game she enjoyed was Warframe, which involved tracking moving objects while in motion. It seems the right activities depend on her specific cognitive needs. For low-pressure options, there are well-reviewed "Hidden Object" narrative games that are mostly point-and-click. MetaHuman Inc offered a story-driven text adventure I liked after reading about it. Slay the Spire is easy to follow and doesn’t demand much mental effort. The Simulator genre has many good titles for different interests, such as truck simulators, power washers, and TCG card shop simulations. It might be worth checking out something similar if that appeals.
