Hello! I just completed assembling my second PC (the first one was a mini-ITX). The setup includes: CPU: I5-13600KF RAM: 2x16GB 5200MHz Kingston Fury Beast MBO: Asus Rog Strix B760-I GPU: 3080FE 10Gb Case: Coolermaster Nr200p Max (includes PSU and 280mm AIO) Two Noctua 140mm slim fans (both exhausts, as noted in the NR200P Max review). Initially, everything worked smoothly until I started playing games. The CPU reached around 80°C in BF2042, which was disappointing since the case seemed well-suited for that temperature. After testing Cinebench R23 and monitoring temperatures with HWInfo, I noticed the CPU would spike to about 100°C and then throttle. Despite this, I still achieved a score of roughly 20k, though most benchmarks reached around 24k. The CPU operated between 1.3-1.4V under load. The cooling system appeared functional at idle (31-35°C with XMP enabled), but the pump sounded faulty. I re-applied thermal paste, changed the stock paste for the AIO, adjusted voltage, tweaked fan curves, set a TDP limit of 180W, modified BIOS, and even removed side panels. I also tried undervolting to 1.2V, which lowered temps to a maximum of 75°C but reduced my Cinebench score to 9000 and caused the system to report only 3.5GHz performance. The included fans made an unusual rattling noise; I confirmed no cables were touching them. They only activate at high speeds and stop when I tilt the case. I’d really appreciate any advice or help with this issue—it’s been quite a long process of trial and error.

I recently upgraded my PC with an i5-13600kf, an ASUS TUF 4070TI, and an Asus ROG Strix B760F. While running Cinebench for extended periods, I noticed consistently high temperatures. I discovered a simple solution in the ASUS BIOS—under Advanced Mode, the "Asus Performance Enhancement 3.0" option was enabled by default. This kept my CPU running at full capacity during maximum turbo (up to 5.1 and 3.9 GHz) with a peak power draw of 253W, far exceeding the recommended 180W. After disabling that setting, the 30-minute Cinebench test ran smoothly, maintaining temperatures around 83°C, dropping from 23,800 to 21,800. The CPU only briefly reached full boost for each frame before settling at 4.8 GHz for all cores and 3.8 GHz for E cores. Power usage also stabilized at 181W, which looks correct. Let me know if anything needs clarification!
