Thermal throttle at standard temperatures
Thermal throttle at standard temperatures
Hi there. I'm having an issue with my Lenovo Legion laptop. The GPU is throttling even when things are at normal temperatures and all conditions. The attached photo shows the voltage is extremely low and throttling occurs despite normal temps. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Check the Lenovo forums for more assistance.
There might be a relevant BIOS update available.
If it's a brand-new laptop, contact Lenovo support.
Thanks for your reply!
It's a Legion Y540. I hope you ask for the external psu (I'm a hardware noob).
It's a 230W ac adapter. Output is 20V 11.5A
The laptop is around 4 years old so i guess no hope for warranty and free service.
Hope you guys have an idea.
Best regards
Check the initial power source? Consider another one matching the same connector, voltage, and wattage.
Thank you for the response. I recently purchased a fresh power supply and am hoping it will resolve the issue!
