Thermal pads recommendation for a Zotac RTX 4070 Twin Edge?
Do you know the proper thickness for thermal pads for this GPU? I only found details for the SUPER version, but that one has a different radiator design.

If your GPU yet has warranty, I'd avoid disassembling it as you will void your warranty doing so. On that note, why are you looking to replace the thermal pads? If it's temperature related, have you thought about undervolting the GPU?

include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
i don't mind the warranty, and temperatures are fine. the card is just really dusty, so i need to clean it up. if i remove the cooling system, all that dust will settle on the thermal pads right away, making them unusable. of course i can just measure the old pads, but if i do it this way i'll have to wait until the required thermal pads are delivered. if anyone has any advice, i'll order them in advance.

Then there's no need to go down the route of replacing the thermal pads.

You do realize that you can dust the card without disassembling it, right? All you need is a soft bristle detailing brush and a small blower.

Begin with straightforward potential solutions like cleaning the card. Also, thoroughly clean the entire system during this process. Check for loose connections and cards, using a bright flashlight to spot any damage or irregularities. I also recommend adding the advice that, as usual, always perform a full system backup beforehand. Make sure there are at least two copies stored in locations separate from the host system, and verify they are recoverable and readable.

If you disassemble it enough to reveal the pads, they still require replacement. Dust or not, cleaning isn't necessary to achieve that.
