The real use of thermal putty in an RTX 4090 is likely about 30 grams, though it’s wise to purchase double that amount for safety. TG putty here costs roughly $16 for 30 grams, so aiming for around $32 would be prudent. A basic manual caliper without a screen can be had for $1, while a digital version costs about $6. Thermal pads are available in sets like the ARCTIC TP-3 models: 120×20×1.5 mm for $9 and 120×20×1.0 mm for $8. You can also layer two pads to achieve thickness between 1–3 mm. I once assumed the price gap would be bigger, but it’s not that big; it mainly comes down to personal preference.

TP-3 costs 10 dollars per pack, thermal grizzly putty is 15 dollars per can. For 4090 you’ll need 1.5 cans. It could be due to it being produced in Germany while you're in Denmark.

We’re seeing comparable costs in the Czech Republic. I recently looked into what’s available in the US on sites like Amazon and Micro Center, and it turns out the options there aren’t as affordable—possibly because I wasn’t searching effectively.
