It's been eight months since I purchased my PC. The configuration includes: an R5 5600X with stock cooler, 8x2 GB RAM, a 3200MHz RAM module, an RTX 3060 graphics card, an ASUS TUF B550 Plus motherboard with neutral airflow and four fans, and a 650W Bronze V2 cooling system. I recently updated the BIOS and switched to Windows 11. The issue is that idle temperatures remain consistently high at around 70°C, while they drop to about 55°C when browsing Chrome or other applications. Even low-power programs raise the temperature significantly. I'm considering replacing the thermal paste on the stock cooler. Thanks!

Using Ryzen processors, the best way to truly gauge cooling performance is by subjecting it to maximum stress and then tracking the temperature rise. The boost algorithm maintains a high idle voltage, enabling rapid temperature spikes when single cores hit their limits. During full load, it manages temperatures, frequency, and voltage to keep things between 75-85°C continuously. To confirm effective cooling, check Cinebench results after a 10-minute run—aim for an average clock speed near 4.5GHz ±100MHz. If the numbers are significantly lower, consider a refurbishment.

Ensure the cooler is fully tightened to maintain proper connection with the CPU.

Hey bro! I followed your instructions and ran Cinebench for a while. The results showed an average temperature of 87°C and a clock speed of about 3978 MHz.

If the issue isn't from the stock cooler's paste or mount, reducing the cooling surface area should come first. Consider looking for a tower cooler with heatpipes priced between $20 and $30.

Absolutely, it seems the issue might be with the cooling setup. A poor mount, insufficient thermal paste, or inadequate airflow in the case could all affect performance. The Vetroo V5 offers decent value for its price.

I believe this setup works fine. After installing the stock cooler, I secured all the screws until it settled. Right now, I don’t have a budget for a CPU cooler. I plan to replace the thermal paste and observe the results.
