Hi everyone. I’m trying to figure out why the latest Blizzard update is so slow on my connection. It feels like it’s stuck, even though I’m using a wired link. I’ve switched my region from Europe to America and that didn’t help either. I’m not using any VPN, just curious if anyone has any tips. Thanks!
Well first off if you're in Europe you want the region set as close to you as possible so setting it to north or south America will probably just make it worse. Make sure you enough storage space on the drive it is installed on for the update to go through, you may need to cancel the update and then restart it.
The drive has ample room. I’ve configured the region to Europe since I’m located in the UK. After restarting the download, it initially shows a speed of 1.5MBs, yet no progress occurs and then the speed resets to zero. This is really annoying.
They mentioned heavy network usage as the reason, but it’s really annoying. I’ve been waiting nearly five hours, and it’s completely unreasonable.
