I've noticed my frame rate dropping in several games. I've tried reinstalling the GPU driver, using a disk check, cleaning the disk, and adjusting settings in the Nvidia control panel. My setup includes a GTX 1060 with 6GB of RAM and an i5 8600K processor.

Use a tool like MSIAfterburner to track CPU and GPU activity while playing games. Check if FPS decreases when CPU usage is high on one or more cores, or when GPU usage spikes. Also, confirm your RAM speed and capacity (e.g., 2x8GB or 1x16GB).

Free GPU driver cleaners often pose issues because they collect data about your usage. It’s usually safer to remove them and install the newest drivers straight from NVIDIA. A fresh setup is recommended. You might consider a custom installation and skip features like 3D rendering or sound. Maybe even try using NVIDIA support. Are you noticing any overheating concerns? Check HWmonitor. If the peak temperature reaches close to 100°C, throttling is probable. Also, if your lowest temperature stays well above 10–15°C, it could indicate a cooling issue. Have you recently increased the clock speed of your 8600K?

I've already tried installing the driver several times, using all possible methods, but it hasn't solved my issue. The GPU and CPU temperatures are normal—around 50°C lower—and I haven’t overclocked anything.
