Hello, I understand the situation. My drive was affected by Windows installation issues, so I transferred it to another system and copied essential files, including pictures, documents, and game saves. After formatting and reinstalling Windows, I’m trying to access the data but everything is showing as unreadable or corrupted. I have some screenshots of the problem. Anyone familiar with this scenario can help? Thanks!
Backups matter because a simple format doesn’t remove everything, only the bits Windows overwrote. @TheUnsmilingCat Proceed with caution when using that drive.
It seems logging in to specific software automatically accepts encryption of your device. I obtained the decryption key and restored all my files. Haha!
