There seems to be a compatibility problem.
Hey everyone, I set up this PC (link: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/rostabunny...iew=W4wyWZ ). From the start I faced issues. First, the motherboard didn’t work right and my screen would freeze when I turned it on, with no fix. That’s been fixed, but now I keep seeing Blue screens of death when starting up. I’m not sure if the RAM speed is wrong for this board. Here’s the motherboard info: https://pg.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B550 PG Velocita/index.us.asp#MemoryMS. The RAM model is: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories...M2A2400C16. Another problem is that changing BIOS settings stops me from booting, and I can’t see anything on the screen unless I reset the CMOS by removing and reinserting the battery. Does this point to a compatibility problem? Any suggestions for motherboards would be great. I’d prefer to keep my existing components if possible. Thanks ahead, Marcus E
I encountered several issues including kernel security failures, page faults in nonpaged areas, unhandled system thread exceptions, and irql not meeting requirements. The system also showed heap corruption in kernel mode. When I connected my Wi-Fi card, it seemed to resolve the problem temporarily. I ordered a replacement, but the issue persisted even without the card.
Reviewing my initial thoughts, it seems the RAM might be the issue. Consider running memtest on a memory stick for verification.
Hi, I'm having trouble starting up because of the RAM and motherboard combination. I've tried various RAM options, but only one works. Once I get a new motherboard, I'll keep trying; if it doesn't work, I'll return it for repair. Thanks!
