Are you sure? There are first-gen Ryzen CPUs available at that price with eight cores. We suggest the 1600AF for $105—it's around $2600. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/8HqBD3/...600bbafbox It should offer the best of both options.

Absolutely, when the budget comes up, everything flows smoothly without any issues. I think we've wrapped it up.

The individual suggesting the 1600 for 105 offers an excellent offer that's really beneficial.

Most people didn't suggest an 8-core processor. Yet titles like Fortnite benefit from CPUs with more cores. Particularly when you aim for higher frame rates and the game becomes more demanding on the CPU. Four cores work, but six offer better performance.

The 3600 uses the identical design as the 3300x. Minor variations exist, yet a 5% speed gap remains negligible. The extra two cores and four additional threads still make a noticeable difference in larger games.

Fortnite works smoothly on systems with four cores, but when the GPU is too powerful it can hit 100% and cause stutters. Many players end up capping their frame rate to prevent these problems. This highlights how useful it is to have some cores available for other tasks, which is why consoles always set aside a core for their own use.

Both discussions lack specific details on budgeting. It could be useful to keep an eye on things... For lower-end components, the situation hinges on human activity and market dynamics, meaning patience might be necessary until balance is achieved.

Linus: *creates setup using 3100 for cost-effective gaming*
Everyone: Wow, Linus did a great video!
Normal person: "I’m aiming for a 3100 to build on a budget."
Everyone: "Don’t be silly, 3100 doesn’t really help with gaming."

Not required—your setup works well for those games. No issues with performance or frame rate.

The initial budget discussion likely led to more empathetic feedback.
