Sorry if my tone came across that way. I made it clear in the beginning that I upgraded from version 7 to 10, and there were many problems because of that (seems like a frequent issue). That’s why I tried reinstalling via ISO on a USB drive. This process prompted me to ask for a product key, which I don’t have, and I assumed it should be linked to the motherboard like Windows 8.1 did.
It turns on automatically once the installation completes. If it doesn’t work, you can purchase a key. So far, I haven’t done anything else—just loaded the USB and were prompted for a product key, which I declined. I’ve used the built-in reset, but problems remain. I may consider using the repair option.
