Hey there, I’m sharing some concerning updates. My computer has been freezing repeatedly, eventually forcing a hard restart. Checking the Event Viewer shows no errors until the system restarts, after which an unexpected shutdown appears. A few hours ago, Macrium Reflect created a full backup of my PC to the NAS. I also managed to reach my PC from another machine with normal responses, so background processes continued smoothly. Based on this, I suspect it’s related to my GPU. My system specs include an i7-9700K with 32GB RAM, a GTX Strix 1070, and other components. I’m considering a safe mode boot followed by a Windows reinstall. If that doesn’t help, upgrading to a new GPU might be necessary. Let me know your thoughts!

My server runs a 1660 and I could replace that. The main challenge is dealing with a custom loop which means a temporary GPU issue might be the problem. My PSU is a 650W EVGA model, something I could test but I’m unsure it’s the cause. The C750 is brand new (over a year old) and if needed, I’ll consider swapping it too. Honestly, I might just post here to look for a replacement card instead of rushing into an upgrade. After five years I think I’ll need something better. I’ll try the swap and run tests once I have the new cards, then update the post. Otherwise I’ll use this as a reason to upgrade rather than just wanting more frames.
