There is no signal on the monitors, but audio remains before the PC restarts.
I’ve recently encountered this problem while playing graphically demanding or poorly optimized games. My monitors would go black, yet the audio would still play, continuing for a short time before the system restarts.
I searched online but haven’t found a clear solution.
Using HWinfo, I observed my GPU temperature was between 70-80 degrees and the CPU reached its peak at 66 during the issue.
I’ve adjusted power settings without success.
My current setup includes:
i7-9700k
3060Ti
32GB RAM
750 PSU
I’m using one 1440p monitor as my primary display and a secondary 1080p monitor, both connected to my GPU.
If you have any additional details, it would be helpful in diagnosing the problem.
Hello there! I noticed the device has a power rating of 750 PSU and a wattage of 750W. Could you share the brand, model, and age of this equipment? Also, what temperatures do you observe for your processor and GPU during the black screen problem? How are you managing to cool the processor? What is the case type and make?
Hey there!
It’s the Corsair 750W Enthusiast Series RM750X PSU with a fluid dynamic fan and fully modular design. I purchased it in June last year.
I’ve only checked temperatures once during an issue, and my GPU reaches about 80 at its maximum but stays between 70 and 80 during gaming. The CPU hits a peak of 66 right when it happens, though it’s usually lower than that.
Currently, I’m using just a cooling master cooler for the CPU. It’s an older model, but since the CPU isn’t overheating much, I haven’t thought about replacing it—especially not knowing the exact model.
My case is a Phanteks Eclipse P400 Midi tower.
Update on this. I turned my second monitor off for a few gaming sessions and the issue didn't happen. So then I changed out the HDMI I was using for my second monitor and plugged it in with a new cable and again, I'm not getting the issue. I'm assuming the HDMI I was using for my second monitor was causing the issue somehow. I use displayport for my main monitor for what it's worth.
Another update, nevermind it happened again with the new HDMI cable lol. still clueless as to what's causing this
You provided the log file from your play session of New World in CSV format, and you're asking if anyone can read it to assist in identifying the problem.
