I have two sticks of 4gbs with 2666mhz speed and they were running at that speed. I heard you can use XMP to boost them, but when I look at my BIOS there is no XMP option listed. It only shows a Disabled button instead of an Enable one. Even though the mobo has AI Tweaker software available, it does not have any settings for DOCP. My BIOS is also the latest version and even if I try to force it manually, my computer starts looping through restarts. What can I do?
Are these two identical pieces of memory? When you buy matched sets, they are often sold as a pair. To make sure the XMP feature works right, those two slots have to match each other in color so that the system knows how to handle them properly.
You can't turn the CPU off because your computer's main chip has already shut down, too. The processor only understands DDR4 speeds at 2400 megahertz, but your memory sticks aren't set up for that speed. That means you won't be able to enable this setting.
