I recently purchased a pair of speakers for around 10€. They seem to be in perfect condition, and the sound quality is impressive considering the price, especially for my listening experience. The model is the "mars gaming ms1". However, during gameplay, I notice a similar noise resembling coil whine on my GPU. Interestingly, this same sound appears on the speakers too. I've tested it across several games, but it doesn't consistently occur on all titles. It seems to appear only in certain games, such as FIFA 22, where the menus and replays are affected. I discovered that this might resolve the issue—it could be a solution or just a waste of money?

Additionally, here are some product details:
PC specs: AOC monitor with 21" and free sync, 75Hz; Gigabyte B450 gaming X; AMD Ryzen 5 3600; Kingston HyperX FURY DDR4 (with RGB) at 3200MHz with XMP profile 1 enabled; XFX RX 580 GTS XXX 4GB; Bitfenix formula gold 550W; 3 HDDs from WD (1 wd green, 1 wd black, 1 wd blue); 1 SSD (Kingston A400 120GB).

The $10 USB-powered speakers are likely to produce strange sounds and whines. This isn't unexpected. If you're seeking quality audio without annoying noises, consider investing at least $30 or more and opt for models with independent power sources.

Hey, I'm curious about why these speakers are available on the market. It seems like they should have some quality checks, especially with branding. I connected the USB speakers to a mobile adapter and most of the noise disappeared—it's not as bothersome now. But I still have two questions: First, can the speakers stay powered on without a switch? Second, if I used a 5v 0.85A adapter, would that affect performance?

It seems a 1.2A or higher USB adapter could work better. Using one might eliminate the noises completely.

can it remain active continuously because there is no switch to shut it down?

That’s not accurate regarding how power supplies function. The 2A rating is the upper limit, but the device only draws what it requires. On certain 1A speakers, this would translate to roughly 1.2A. It’s possible to link these speakers to a 500A source and they would still draw only about 1.2A.

I understand, the question is whether there could be any harm from constant operation or if it's safer to disconnect them from the power source.
