There is a video editing tool that only handles the essentials, such as cutting videos. When I look online, I’m overwhelmed by many free options that offer trials or install unwanted software. Some even modify logos on videos when all I wanted was a simple cut. For video converters, it would be helpful if they had many extensions for conversion, but what I find is mostly malware and fake free programs. Right now, Format Factory works well, though it sometimes asks for my computer’s resources to update, and my antivirus blocks its latest updates. I’d prefer a different one that is free and has a wide range of extensions available. I also tested online editors and converters, but they aren’t practical for large files.

Simple apps:
Mobile Media Converter
https://www.miksoft.net/mobileMediaConverter.php
Drag the files onto it or pick them from a menu. Pick the desired output format. That's all. It functions perfectly for me over the past six years. I rely on it solely for audio, though I believe it handles some video formats as well.
Video editor:
"Free Video Editor". I acquired it via the link below. It claims to be lossless. My main tasks are trimming video sections and converting formats.
I'm running version 1.4.13 build 805. I'm uncertain if it's still available, as it's from 5 or 6 years ago, and I prefer not to upgrade to a newer release.
