Are you doing something incorrect? I've been receiving updates over 60GB for a while now. It feels like it's downloading the entire thing again. What's happening? The directory is up to 147GB, and I still have 60GB pending. Once this finishes, the game would be around 200 GB! What's going on?
My friends and I were chatting on Discord about buying an SSD and just called it CoD.
And here I am... hoping they'd offer the Single Player campaign standalone version for around 15 dollars so I could enjoy it over a weekend without needing to revisit it. Any chance the newest system requirements on Activision's official site mention 175GB of storage needed? That makes it seem more reasonable.
The original multiplayer version was also around 480P.
(1080p, though it was designed to work on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The engine, maps, textures, and features were smaller or less extensive)
The remastered edition of the original Modern Warfare alongside Infinity Warfare performs quite well... it was a great game, and the latest version from the small clips I've seen seems to feature different missions. The visuals look good for a relaxed gaming session on a free day.
However, it remains mainly a competitive online shooter, which isn't my preferred style... I might consider it later when it's phased out and interest wanes, but I hope they'll occasionally offer it as a side sale for those who just wanted it.
In any case, the game is definitely *huge* in size... not quite matching typical e-sports titles, even compared to BF5 which is around 50GB. I attribute this to poor optimization and overly heavy textures or cutscenes.
Adjusting colors separately for campaign, multiplayer and Co-Op is missing the full impact!
