I notice a pattern lately that reminds me of old HDD sounds, but I don’t have any HDDs. I own a 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD with 2TB and a Crucial 2TB SSD. These drives seem quiet. My GPU is the 1660 Super, producing only a light in-out sound without any fan noise or acceleration. The fan is a big Noctua model. With 3950X and 32GB RAM, it runs smoothly and doesn’t struggle with tasks. The build feels very silent on the Fraktal Define R5 I think. The noise appears random, like it happens when browsing online sometimes. What could be causing this?
Possible interference might stem from audio output issues or coil whine.
Remove the bottom filter and listen for any sound. Sometimes a failing AIO pump can make noises similar to Maxtor HDD sounds.
