It's impressive how well "Warlords of Draenor" turned out.

The top overall MMO is WoW. While other games excel in specific areas like combat, economy, or character building, they fall short in many aspects compared to World of Warcraft. People are praising Warlords of Draenor highly.

Firefall stands out to me since I don’t usually enjoy the typical face-rolling mechanics found in most MMOs. It blends elements of MMO and FPS, is free-to-play, and isn’t restricted to a single platform. The Black Desert area is something I’m keeping an eye on but might wait for a Western release. Planetside is another action-packed MMO that many enjoy, though I didn’t have the chance to play it until its official launch. I tried the beta and the early release but found the gameplay frustrating; it’s likely changed since then, but I’ve lost interest. It’s also free-to-play. TERA remains my go-to for traditional MMOs, especially for its visual style, though I only engage occasionally now. Guild Wars 2 offers a fun experience but I never purchased it, so I’m unsure how it’s played. Archeage feels similar to TERA in terms of look, but with deeper content at higher levels; the gameplay style doesn’t really click with me, so I’ve returned to TERA mainly for its aesthetic. Archeage is F2P as well. Vindictus starts off appealing and has a nice visual, but it quickly becomes repetitive and lacks open-world freedom. It’s F2P but limited to American players, though workarounds exist. Age of Conan was entertaining during its peak, especially the first 20 levels, which were story-heavy; after that it felt less engaging. Now it’s free-to-play, but some features are behind a paywall. The Secret World offers a unique horror experience with a strong narrative focus, though I haven’t played since the beta ended. It’s B2P and has regional restrictions, but I found ways around it. My preferences lean toward action-oriented games like MMOFPS (Firefall, Planetside) rather than MMORPGs such as WOW, which I dislike. If an MMORPG offers real-time action (TERA, Vindictus), I’m more likely to try it. Star Citizen seems like a promising future option if you’re interested in the genre.

Dragon Age Origins for a single player RPG all the way Kingoms of Amalur reckoning is amazing too As far as a MMO, I put over 9 years in WoW.... April 2005- September 2014. Every other one I tried, I went back to WoW a week or 2 later. Wild Star looked very promising and I might try it again cause I can't get sucked into WoW again. I am hearing nothing but good things about Warlods of Draenor across the board. Not one negative comment
