There are problems with bios flash files!
You're beginning your first build and have bought a refurbished Asus TUF B550 Plus with MOBO. You plan to install a 5600x and realize you need a BIOS flash because the board isn't from the 5000 series. The power cables are connected (24-pin CPU power), but the CPU hasn't been installed yet. Once the PSU powers on, the board lights up nicely. You reformatted a thumb drive to FAT32, added the latest BIOS from the official Asus site, and renamed it properly. When you start the BIOS flash, you see three green flashes, then the drive reads. After 5-6 flashes, the lights stabilize in solid green, meaning the update succeeded. Since your board isn't brand new, you're unsure about its current BIOS version. You've tried two older drives, both giving similar results—three flashes first, then one solid green after. Maybe a brand new drive would work better? Any advice would be really helpful!
