I recently purchased an OEM laptop running DDR5, bought separately because of price. It frequently crashes, and the return process suggested the issue stemmed from incompatible RAM causing artifacts that trigger crashes. The RAM I received is a Kingston Fury Impact DDR5 16GB at 4800MHz CL38, OEM-sourced. The seller’s BIOS lacks XMP support or any tunable features for RAM. Are there any tools or methods to adjust the RAM settings instead of replacing it?

It seems those aftermarket laptops and their BIOS are problematic.
