I understand the Windows Store edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider includes this capability, though not on Steam. It seems to be limited to the Windows RT API. I’m curious if any creators have combined tools or small Win RT apps to trigger impulses in the game, or if there’s a way for a desktop app to interact with the game through the API. This feature is especially useful in racing and shooting games, making it valuable if it hasn’t been added yet.

You can set up a sound effect that activates when the trigger is pressed using xpadder. Avoid linking the button to any specific action; instead, turn on the rumble option in the button settings.

Consider trying to install a program that identifies the controller. You're confident that after downloading it from Steam, Windows Store, Origin, or Uplay, it should function properly.
