Without the texture pack (still pending release), ultra appears identical to high-resolution textures. Regardless, it seems the ultra texture pack is mainly aimed at 4K anyway (as some have noted: http://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comment...or/ckwkbny). All the hype about extra VRAM has mostly been about an optional 4K pack.

It's still quite expensive at 3GB for high-resolution textures, especially when the visual quality isn't impressive.
