I own a Ga-970a-ds3p card but there are no chipsets made specifically for Windows 10, only for Windows 7 and Windows 8. So I probably don't need to install any driver or maybe even the W8 chipset will work on this?

i would say that as long as it's okay from Windows update, you're all set. If things are working fine and nothing is broken, don't bother trying to fix anything on your own. But if a specific feature isn't working, then you'll need to find the right driver for it. It depends a lot on what tools show up in Device Manager so that you can figure out how to get them all installed properly. So does everything look okay? Are there no yellow marks showing up in Device Manager? If not, what do those yellow marks mean?

I would say that if you just let Windows update run and all things work like normal, then you are set. If a thing isn't broken, don't bother trying to fix it, but if a feature doesn't work, you'll need to find the driver. That depends on what's missing in Device Manager so you can figure out where to get them. So is everything "installed" with no yellow marks showing up? If not, what does that yellow mark mean?
