Hey everyone, are there any users experiencing issues where Steam drops connection for just a moment and then loses it completely? I've noticed this lately and haven't found a solution. I've tried several steps—linking everything, restarting Steam and PC, running a system clean, even cursing a bit—but nothing works. It's really frustrating.

Client registry will be cleared upon closing Steam and restored on restart or reinstall.

Sure, I'll try to play COD and see what happens.

Tested both options, but the issue persists. It keeps happening. Strong stench!

Check if the problem might come from another system. Install Steam on another machine and see if the issue persists.

I have Steam set up only on one gaming PC, while the others are used for work and don’t run games. The issue started after I played a MW3 domination game, and both teams experienced severe lag spikes.

I've experienced these issues before—it's quite bothersome. Here are some suggestions: 1. Review your firewall configuration; Steam might be restricted—don’t worry, it seems to happen unexpectedly. 2. Scan with your antivirus or anti-malware; Steam could be blocked as well (I had this with Kaspersky). 3. Examine Windows UAC settings; it sometimes denies access when opening games. Logging in works fine, but you might need higher permissions. If UAC is off, it shouldn’t cause major problems.
