Hey everyone, I’m trying to figure out a problem that’s been happening with my PC for about a year and a half. I’ve been using Windows 11 with a Gigabyte A620I AX AMD Ryzen 5 7500F, paired with an RTX 4070 2x KINGSTON KF564C32-16 RAM (about 32 GB), a SKC3000D2048G SSD (2 TB), and a 600W quiet PSU. Everything works fine until it starts acting up.

For roughly four days now, my PC keeps crashing or shutting off. It usually happens during less demanding tasks—like when loading the leaderboard in Battlefield 2042. At first, I could play for two hours straight without any trouble. Then the crashes start, often after the game finishes or when loading data. When it powers back on a few seconds later, it crashes again within 2 to 4 minutes, and this cycle repeats.

At first glance, it looks like overheating, but I’ve checked temperatures regularly. During the crash moments, my CPU was under 60°C, GPU around 65°C, and RAM usage was at 50%. After updating drivers and BIOS, nothing changed. I even ran memory tests and stress tests, and everything stayed normal—temperatures never spiked high enough to cause a problem.

The weird part is that after the last crash, I can play for two hours again without issues. But before that, the same pattern starts. I’ve attached my HWiNFO 64 logs from the latest crash, which show data every 100 milliseconds. I’m using Generic Log Viewer, but nothing stands out right before the crash.

I’m really puzzled. My PSU seems fine at full power, and all components run smoothly during gameplay. The RAM isn’t overused, and my SSD has plenty of space. Still, I can’t figure out what’s causing this recurring issue. Is it definitely an overheating problem? Or is there something else going on?

Check your temperatures first, then use HWInfo64

Open Nvidia CP, adjust the GPU settings to prioritize maximum performance. Check if the issue persists. Remember to restart before modifying the settings.

Initially it seemed to assist, but after another failure I applied the recommended Nvidia configuration and everything appeared normal until it crashed again after roughly an hour.

Use OCCT or Testmem5 to push your system's RAM to its limits.

Confirmed, completed successfully. No issues detected during the full 100% stress test.
