Hello,

I just purchased a new Xbox controller for my computer in order to enjoy video games, but I accidentally knocked over some iced coffee onto the directional pad. I’m concerned that this may harm my computer and also damage the controller itself. I removed as much of the spilled coffee as possible from the controller (only a small amount) and attempted to clean inside the directional pad. Despite this, the D-Pad and controller are still functioning, but my worry remains: could my computer have been affected by the iced coffee that entered the Xbox controller’s directional pad?

Could you please advise,
Ryan

Avoid getting fluids on your electronics. It should probably work without issue for your computer and controller.

Avoid getting fluids on your electronics. That ought to assist you. Your personal computer should be unaffected, and the controller is probably unharmed as well.

Is there a chance my computer might be harmed, though?

Extraneous possibilities exist, but they are exceedingly improbable.
