I have an Xbox One controller connected to my Windows 11 PC through USBIP* and it appears in Device Manager and Control Panel as expected, with no errors logged. In Device Manager, the drivers seem current, listing it as "Xbox One Controller" with version 10.0.22000.1, and clicking Update Driver suggests the latest driver is installed. Still, input from the controller isn’t recognized on my PC, nor does the Xbox Accessories app show it connected. Does anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting?
*For those new to the topic, USBIP is a technique that routes USB connections across networks. I’m using a customized version called USBIP-Win, which functions properly on Windows. On the server side, where the XB1 controller is physically plugged in, it successfully bound the device and allowed my client PC to connect.*
From a hardware perspective, this controller usually works when plugged directly into the PC (without USBIP). Both the microUSB cable and the physical port on the server work correctly. I don’t think there’s a hardware problem here.

It might seem like a simple mistake, but under the device manager it appears as a controller. Have you attempted to perform the calibration there?

I faced an issue earlier when my Xbox controller malfunctioned. I removed the driver via Device Manager, restarted the system, and then let Windows reinstall it. The problem resolved and didn’t return.

This wasn't a simple issue. Dev Mgmt labeled it "Xbox One Controller" and there was no calibration option visible, though I might have overlooked it. I'll attempt the same steps, including uninstalling the driver and rebooting, once I regain access to the system next week.

No chance to adjust settings, and removing the driver without restarting didn't help, regrettably. Appreciate your feedback and any further ideas you might suggest!

I have a similar setup with an arcade stick that uses a Brook Universal PCB running in XBox One mode. Whenever the PC starts up, this occurs. If I disconnect and reconnect the USB-B cable, it shows up correctly in the Game Controllers section. Switching the PCB to Xbox360 or PS4 mode works fine after rebooting without needing to unplug. It would be helpful to avoid having to replug the cable each time after a restart.

I had the same problem. But it was fixed after I manually installed a new Xbox one driver. Here's the link I used
