Call of Duty: Warzone wouldn't run on my Xeon W3670 with a 970 GTX card. It's surprising how the i3-4340 can barely meet the demands of Warzone. The game needs at least a fourth-generation Intel chip, and higher-end options are quickly becoming outdated. My X58 Gigabyte board is likely to be replaced soon. I'm considering an Asus AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus or a Ryzen 3900X.

It should work on a 2600k processor. Your W3670 likely doesn’t support the AVX instruction set.

It's definitely feasible. There are videos showing people using similar chips with overclocking. Have you tried boosting your clock speed to 4GHz yet? As long as your motherboard allows changing the base frequency, it's quite straightforward on the X58 platform. With decent CPU cooling, reaching around 4.2GHz should be manageable. If you've made any upgrades, a GTX 970 might become a limitation. Any upgrade will require a new motherboard, RAM, CPU, and GPU at the very least. "Minimum requirements" for games vary widely. It also mentions you can run on an FX 6300... That processor is actually inferior to an i7 920 even at stock speed. So in short, when your CPU meets those baseline specs, many claimed limitations are just exaggerated.

Chips heat up easily, likely because of the lack of AVX support. I don’t want to force it, since performance shouldn’t depend on whether it’s 3.8 or 4 GHz. My Corsair H75 and MasterAir MA610P both overheat a lot. I’m considering a new build this month. Asus AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus or a 3900X Ryzen with a 5700XT graphics card and DDR4 RAM might work better.
