B550 supports lanes connected to the CPU as Gen 4, while the chipset lanes remain Gen 3. X570 offers Gen 4 throughout the board. I’d also consider the Strix A and B550 Prime Pro as solid options.

It cancels the warranty. With care, you won't damage the board. I've customized a few boards myself.

Okay? There you go, perfect reason to not recommend going through such a process over just buying a white board. It still doesn't remove the chance of it happening... That doesn't fill me with confidence for some reason.

You can also paint the PCI e covers and IO shield white—these are the simplest options. Perhaps you could also paint all the screws white as well. It shouldn’t take much time and will look great.

Still, it's worth considering why you chose this path rather than opting for a white motherboard initially.

The shield should be white on both sides as advised. Pcie covers are also considered but I’m not planning to spend an hour drilling screws.
