The X1 Carbon Power problem?
The X1 Carbon Power problem?
I arrived with a Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th gen recently. A friend suggested I could get it if I could repair it. I’m interested in using it for mobile photo editing. It starts up normally when connected to power, but turns off instantly when unplugged. I assumed the battery was the issue, so I replaced it, but the problem continues. The battery indicates it’s charging properly. Any suggestions on what might be wrong or how to fix it?
It might not be the battery itself, but possibly a control unit handling charging and discharging. I’m not certain, but I thought it worth noting that you can perform a hard reset on Lenovo devices by pressing a button on the bottom near the pin-hole. You might have already tried this without mentioning it.
I also used the tiny pinhole. Just wondering if it’s more than just a bad motherboard problem.
