You recently purchased a Samsung SSD 850 EVO with 500GB. You installed Windows 10 on it and formatted your previous SSD, thinking you'd erase everything. However, when trying to boot from the Samsung 850 Evo, it doesn't recognize Windows at all—only the old boot manager remains. The new SSD is showing up (disk 0 or CSmile, but why does the Windows boot manager appear on the old drive? How does this setup function? And what steps do you need to take to get the boot manager working on your new SSD?

Consider disconnecting all other drives before proceeding. Decide which drive needs attention based on its condition and compatibility with your new SSD.

Turn off any storage devices you don’t need as your boot device just to see the progress. Fix the drive you wish to use as your boot device.
