The Windows 11 USB key installation is experiencing freezing issues on the Asus Pro ws wrx80e-sage device.
Hi,
I'm working on assembling my system and encountering frequent freezes.
Hardware details:
CPU: AMD Threadripper
Motherboard: Asus Pro WS WX80E-SAGE-WIFI with latest firmware
GPU: RTX 4090 installed in slot 1 using Gen4.0 riser
CPU cooler: Noctua NH-U9 TR4-SP3
Memory: 8 x Micron DDR4-3200 16GB ECC, total 128 GB
Storage: Samsung EVO 970 (1TB) and 2TB drives
Power supply: Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1650
Case: Open air style mining rig (for rendering)
I generated a bootable USB key from the Windows ISO (tried three others), but the moment I press enter, everything freezes. The motherboard's Q-Code LEDs show "Ab," meaning "Setup Input Wait." I don’t have much information about this on Google.
Anyone can suggest a solution? My goal is just to install Windows.
Please see the screenshot.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Are you using an Asus Pro ws wrx80e-sage-wifi with the latest firmware?
What is the current BIOS version for your motherboard?
I set up a bootable USB key from the Windows ISO (I also tried three others).
Where did you obtain the installer for the operating system, and could you explain how you created them?
