Attempting Windows 11 on an i7-14700 with MSI Z790 Tomahawk and a WD Black SN770 NVMe SSD. Installer boots but fails to detect the drive. BIOS works, Arch is installed, and I’ve tried various drivers. The support USB has folders for chipset, storage, etc., but nothing works. Need guidance on getting Windows to recognize the SSD. Anyone had similar issues?

Have you checked if the BIOS is up to date? Did you create the Windows boot media recently using a new download? Consider partitioning the drive with another program first, as the installer has been struggling to recognize blank drives. Irrespective of the cause, remove the file once you're inside the installer.

Consider generating a brand new Windows installation using Rufus, starting from scratch with fresh files. I faced a similar issue where the download would stop midway, displaying the Windows 11 language selection screen without any interactive elements.

You likely need to include the Intel Rapid Storage driver in your Windows setup. Download the appropriate package from Intel’s site, extract it using a program such as 7zip or WinRAR, and place the entire folder onto the Windows installation USB. Use the provided driver link during installation to ensure the tool recognizes the SSD as a valid target.
