I don’t remember the precise error message when hovering over headphones, though it seems to involve them not being plugged in even if I’m not using headphones. When I click the audio icon, the Windows 10 Help window appears. If I right-click and select Sounds, then go to the Playback tab, it works immediately without any navigation. My main display is a 40-inch Samsung TV with two older 21-inch HP screens, and this problem happens after sleep. I suspect a recent Windows 10 update caused it. I don’t have restore points available. This is just another minor QOL issue. Have you encountered this before?

Consider removing the audio driver via Device Manager, restart your device, and attempt BIOS default configurations. Should the problem continue, visit the provided link for further assistance.

A bios default setting refers to the preconfigured options in UEFI firmware that control how your system boots and initializes. It defines the basic behavior until you customize it.

I changed the audio driver in NVIDIA and it appears to have resolved the issue.
