The Wii remote isn’t working properly and I’m not sure what to do next.
I bought this Nintendo Wii remote used from eBay. I'm not completely sure it's genuine, but here we are, hehe. Has anyone experienced this issue before? While using it with a dolphin bar and emu, the batteries worked fine, and the only button that functions is the minus button to stop the emulation. I'm not sure what to do next. Also, I noticed the home button is behaving like a Windows key, and the numbers 1 and 2 control volume.
It's possible this happens due to a camera shutter issue. You might be seeing lights from the shutter instead of the intended buttons. The problem could stem from outdated firmware causing unintended triggers. It’s not reliable, and you might end up wasting time and money.
On the Wii, four lights indicate pairing mode. However, this could vary in newer models or with Dolphin.
After removing the batteries, the dolphin bar switched modes and the Wiimote mimicked a mouse and keyboard. I reset it back to mode 4 and everything is working fine. Those small details often slip by until you need help online.
