The Wi-Fi setting isn't visible in Windows 11.
Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I just finished installing Windows 11 on my HP laptop, but sometimes my Wi-Fi isn't listed in the task menu or settings—it seems to disappear at random. It's really annoying. Also, when I open Device Manager, my Wi-Fi adapter is hidden and shows an error with Code 45. Could anyone suggest a solution? Thanks!
It seems everything is fine with their setup and the Wi-Fi adapter is functioning properly. Sometimes the settings might differ.
Yeah sorry.. Okay so, code 45 means that the device is disconnected. If you feel comfortable you can open up some lids under it and look, there should be something looking like a small M.2 card possibly with a wire (wire goes to the antenna). See if that's loose, reconnect if. If not and you are fully updated (BIOS/drivers) then there is a problem with it and it will likely have to be replaced. I dunno unless maybe the driver borked itself during installation but it may not be fully seated since you meantion sometimes yay and sometimes nay.
Yes, there is a way to disable WiFi on the laptop. You can use a specific key combination or button to turn it off. Check the device settings or power options for the exact method.
