This advice seems quite basic, but it's meant to ground the board for interference reduction. The metal shield around the WiFi chipset helps with that. Being connected directly at the PCIe port shouldn't affect the screw. If the problem persists on the battery side, a bad PSU might be the cause, though if it happens with the battery, it could point elsewhere. It's probably an issue with loose antenna connections. Have you checked that your drivers are current?

Sure, I've tried several drivers for both old and new devices, and this issue appears on Windows 10 and 11. Opening the laptop and reinserting the Wi-Fi card might help, but it could also mean you need to replace the card altogether.

Replace the card. Adjust the antenna cable connections. These basic issues won't work with software if they're causing the issue.

You're correct, it seems unusual. It's been functioning well for a while, and since your laptop stays in one place, the issue might be unrelated to movement.
