Does your ISP require a specific setup for connectivity? Should I connect my device via the router’s wireless network or use a wired Ethernet connection through the ONT? Am I able to access the ONT’s admin panel and perform adjustments? What is the model of the D-Link router you’re using?

they supply their modem/router. i wanted simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz support, an 802.11ac model, plus ample space for future upgrades—specifically internet connectivity. what do you mean by the ons admin interface? is it something like 192.168.xxxx? if yes, then i can log in and adjust settings. my ISP provided a TP-Link router that works well; i don’t know why the Tenda and D-Link connections failed while the TP-Link one succeeded.

Checking the ONT admin panel, is there a section for LAN configurations? Can you adjust DHCP ranges and static IP settings? Please let me know if you'd like us to be promptly informed of your reply.

Because the ONT includes built-in router capabilities, any additional router you connect needs a static internal IP address on the same subnet and outside the DHCP range. It should also be set to bridged or access point mode. If you keep the wireless routers in their default settings, they will overlap and prevent clients from accessing the internet.

I mistakenly tried to reach the OLT, thinking you meant the Wi-Fi admin panel.
