I possess a 500 Mbps fiber connection. Other devices such as my laptop, Android phone, and Mac/computer consistently achieve the full 500 Mbps download during speed tests. However, my desktop Wi-Fi after installing this USB adapter only reaches around 200 Mbps. I've verified all other settings and found the unusual aspect is that the receive link speed is limited to 54 Mbps even though the wireless adapter supports up to 1.3 GB per second. Link to the adapter details: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/a7000 To add complexity, running "netsh wlan show interface" in the command prompt reveals: Receive rate (Mbps) : 1300 Transmit rate (Mbps) : 1300 I've attempted to update device drivers and even downgrade the Netgear software. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Decided to exchange the USB Wi-Fi adapter for a PCIe Wi-Fi card, which now delivers 500 Mbps as expected. Lesson gained!
