Your Wi-Fi performance has changed dramatically over time. Despite consistent speeds on 2.4GHz (144 Mbps) and 5GHz (650 Mbps) using a Netgear AC1750 N6400 router for years, it now drops to just 5 Mbps after about 15 minutes of continuous operation. The ISP confirmed the issue was with your router itself. You’ve upgraded to a newer model (AC1750 N6400 v2), but the problem persists. Could there be interference, hardware failure, or configuration issues?

Maybe a rival network was set up. There are mobile apps available to detect Wi-Fi channels, and some routers can also do this. Have you checked whether another network is using the same channels as yours?

It doesn't matter whether it's a network update or not—changes in the airwaves are happening. I think an AP was placed too close, causing problems. The best approach is to identify wireless channels with no traffic and use them.
