The voltage should remain 1.65 regardless of the clock speed change.

I need guidance on adjusting the voltage manually since automatic settings keep it at 1.5v and cause crashes. I want to confirm if 1.65v is safe for my 990FXA motherboard, which only supports 2133mhz RAM. I'm concerned about stability and want to avoid further issues.
Why would you return the memory when it's working just fine and using less power?
Memory is just like a processor in the fact that if it's underclocked then it don't need the stock voltage either.
Run memtest and if everything passes their nothing else to do.
Since the memory is 2400MHz and your running it at 2133 you could manually tighten the timings and set it to the voltage needed to keep it stable.
