I was testing Oracle Virtualbox on my machine and it functioned properly for a while, then today both virtual machines failed to start. I posted a support query on their site, but the community seems inactive and unhelpful. It quickly turns into a black screen with white text, indicating a critical issue. The error message shows up at 00:01:46.605065, mentioning an invalid VM state related to ACPI mode. The log file is attached; everything appears unchanged since yesterday, and I'm running it with admin privileges.

For a single-day task, it might be simpler to replace the VM rather than attempt repairs on existing ones.

I’m not handling this unstable POS system until I’m confident it won’t require a fresh VM each day.

I’m not sure about that outcome. Have you attempted setting up another VM recently? Just to check if it holds up for more than a day?

I haven't done it before. I'm trying to skip another full Windows setup since I already have apps on both VMs. I regret trusting that program initially—it was a huge waste of time. I'm going to try something different now.

I've encountered this situation before without issues. You might want to reset all VMs and reinstall VirtualBox completely. Could you clarify the steps you're using for VM setup?

It seems Avast restored itself after reinstalling VirtualBox. I learned it might have deleted files, so I created an exclusion and reinstalled the software. Thanks for your assistance!
