I've been getting some weird trouble when watching videos on YouTube from my computer screen. Basically, when I start playing any video, it buffers really fast with that grey bar moving way off-screen, creating a big gap where I am but then nothing happens for a while. When the red bar comes back to catch up, a circle animation pops up and doesn't load at all. If you pause the video, things work fine, but then you have to start over again because of that same glitch. My internet speed test showed 25 mbps, and I only watch in high definition (1080p). Even if I switch to a lower quality (360p), this happens too. The same thing goes on my phone app since the computer is connected via Wi-Fi using a USB adapter.
Update your post with full system hardware details and OS info. Check how the computer works while watching YouTube by using Task Manager and Resource Monitor. Pick just one tool at a time to see what's happening. Which browsers do you use? Compare the performance numbers of those sites when they aren't YouTube videos.
