Hello, I'm experiencing an issue with my PC. It powers on normally but only one fan works initially. After about five minutes, the monitor loses signal and audio stops completely, yet the keyboard and mouse remain functional. The RGB lights stay active on the motherboard until a reset is performed, after which it cuts out. When I restart, the VGA LED on the motherboard turns red. I've also tried using two monitors, but my TV behaves the same way. My system specs are an Intel i7 3770, GTX 970, 16 GB RAM, P9x79 Pro motherboard, and I've had it serviced at two different shops. The first shop swapped the GPU and it worked for a while before the issue returned. They returned it but it didn't fix the problem. Another shop bought it back without issues, yet the same symptoms appeared again. I checked online forums and found only one Reddit user with the exact same experience, who mentioned a possible defect in the original GPU swap. It seems the problem might be related to the GPU replacement process. Since I'm on a budget, I don't want to replace the GPU just yet. If anyone needs more details or has further questions, feel free to ask. I've also recorded some videos showing what happens during this process, which might help. Edit: I tested with only two RAM sticks, using just two of my four, and realized my CPU is actually an i7 3960X.

Use a computer equipped with just one RAM stick installed in a different RAM slot.

It seems like there might be a typo. Would you like me to replace "PSU" with something else or clarify the context?

Your PSU is rated at 850 watts, but if the PC keeps running despite the signal loss, it might mean the issue isn't with the power supply itself.

I considered using a generic Gen 2 card just to see how long it would stay active. It seems to work fine, staying on for about five minutes after logging in without a password, which is roughly a minute to boot.

You could simply remove three and insert one into an unused slot. There are four slots available, so you have flexibility. The CPU fan is positioned next to each stick, making placement easier.

I just examined the computer more after noticing the PSU. It seems like a problem might be in the back—there’s a connection there, and I found several loose wires. There’s a load connected to the PSU, but another one isn’t. I tried attaching a video, but the file was too large, so I took photos instead. If you need better ones, just ask and I’ll send them over.
